A Personality of A Winner/ 9:38 PM An experience to share. I was on officer course last sunday, and i though it was memorable and this truly made me reflect. A Grade III Officer asked us a question, HE: Who thinks that your Corps is the best unit in Singapore? US: silence. HE: Who thinks that your Corps is doing well at least 90% and above? US: A few hands raised. HE: Who thinks that your Corps is not the best unit in Singapore, but you guys have already done your best and you want to improve your Corps? US: All hands raised. HE: Alright, put down your hands. So, to those people who raised your hands, who thinks that it is NOT your fault that the Corps is not performing to standard? US: 75% of the hands raised. HE: To the rest of the people, who thinks that it IS your fault that your fault that the Corps is not performing up to standard? US: All the others raised. HE: Those who are raising your hands now, keep your hands up and raise higher. And to all of you, look clearer at their faces. They have the mindset of a WINNER. A winner will take the blame, think, stimulate, brainstorm and gather all info possible to change the Corps and find out the ROOT of the problem. They will want change and then, the Corps will then move on and eventually be one of the stongest units in Singapore. They have the mindset of a true officers. And why I want to share with you guys this story is because I believe that we as TPJ students, can instill the mindset of a WINNER as well. This refers to everything we do later on in life to be a success story. And I brought home with these words, “Losers visualize the penalties of failure.
